Susanne Lauth

Chief Nursing Officer, Aarhus University Hospital

Since 2021, Susanne Lauth has been the Chief Nursing Officer at Aarhus University Hospital, Denmark, which is a hospital with 10,000 employes, located in the Central Denmark Region.

Susanne Lauth is one of three members of the Board of Directors at Aarhus University Hospital and is also part of the regional leadership of the Central Denmark Region. From 2014 to 2021, she was the Chief Nursing Officer at two other regional hospitals.

Susanne Lauth has also achieved competencies and experience within the nursing education system through different positions and has worked as an RN in various clinical settings.

Susanne Lauth is an experienced top leader, who works with the strategic challenges of a rapidly changing hospital- and healthcare system that requires continuous transformation. She has a strong focus on the impact of interdisciplinary leadership and the continuous evolution of clinical quality, education, and research, to ensure that the patients are offered the best possible evidence-based care.

Susanne Lauth’s purpose is to contribute to a well-functioning, trust-inspiring, and strong public hospital- and healthcare service where healthcare professionals now and in the future will choose to spend their working life.

Susanne Lauth completed her graduate studies in management and organization in 1997 and was awarded a Master of Public Health from Aarhus University in 2007. In 2023, Susanne Lauth was appointed to be a National Leadership Ambassador for the regional public sector for a period of 2 years.
