Mikhail Bakhtin

Mikhail graduated from the Military Medical Academy with a degree in medicine. From 1992 to 1998 was engaged in scientific work. He has a degree of candidate of medical sciences (Ph.D.). His dissertation research is devoted to the integral assessment of the functional state and physical performance.
In 1998 he moved to the NRCERM EMERCOM of RUSSIA in the functional diagnostics department. Since 1999, he has led a project to introduce a hospital information system (HIS) at the hospital. The electronic medical record is the core of the HIS. Great importance in the project is given to the integration into a single system of all types of diagnostic equipment. In 2008, he was appointed Chief Medical Information Officer.
In the period from 2016 to 2018, he led the project on the certification of the Center’s HIS to the requirements of HIMSS. NRCERM is the first in Russia and the only hospital in Eastern Europe certified for Stage 6 EMRAM HIMSS.
