James Blake

Dr James Blake is VP, Global Cyber Resiliency Strategy & Consulting Services at Cohesity, where he leads teams that help organisations respond to and recover from ransomware and wiper attacks—and build the operating model needed to reduce impact before the next incident occurs. He works with CISOs and their peers on the practical realities of cyber resilience: decision-making under pressure, containment and eradication, secure recovery at pace, and turning hard-won lessons into measurable capability uplift.   With more than 30 years in digital forensics and incident response, Dr Blake has built and scaled security operations at global enterprise level, including establishing 91 Security Operations Centres worldwide—27 of them for Fortune/FTSE 100 organisations. Prior to Cohesity, he served as Global Director of Cyber Transformation at JPMorgan Chase and was Chief Information Security Officer at Mimecast.
